Bear Creek Nature Center was the first nature center built in Colorado and remains an easy stop for El Paso County residents.

“In my mind, people are gonna be more disconnected from the outdoors,” he said. “This city is gonna grow along with technology and everything we do, and the disconnect is gonna be greater. And that will make this place even more valuable.”

Maureen designed exhibits centered on living alongside wildlife, encouraging visitors to notice what might already be in their own backyard.
